Spiderhost’s Web-Based Shopping System Increases Productivity and Sales for Tijuana Flats
03-13-2009
Orlando, FL – Tijuana Flats Hot Foods is enjoying increased productivity and streamlined sales from a web-based shopping system completed by Spiderhost, a privately owned custom IT solutions, managed services, and data center company in Lake Mary, Florida.
In March 2008 Tijuana Flats Hot Foods, a subsidiary of Tijuana Flats Burrito Co. and a popular TexMex restaurant chain based in Central Florida, realized they had outgrown their current web-based shopping system. The system was used by their stores to order supplies, and by franchisees and customers to order hot sauce and merchandise.
“We were already using a web-based shopping system for this, but we needed one with more options – one that made it easier for stores and customers to place orders,” says Cory Park, Assistant Manger. “We got in touch with Spiderhost’s IT consulting department, and they proposed a great solution.”
The $3,500 investment has produced a solid ROI since implementation in April 2008, in both sales and productivity. Says Park, “Sales are up due to the enhanced SEO work Spiderhost did, and we’ve increased productivity by getting rid of the hands-on aspects of the old system. The shopping system processed $672,216 in sales between April and December 2008 that we didn’t have to manually touch.”
“We also like the flexibility and that it’s an all-in-one shopping system,” adds Park.
Tijuana Flats Burrito Co. currently has 64 restaurants, with plans to open 10 more this year. “Spiderhost’s shopping software has taken care of our web-based shopping system needs, giving us more time to concentrate on these operations,” says Park.
