 Town of Celebration Now Enjoying Spiderhost’s Reliable E-mail and Intranet Hosting

Orlando, FL –Celebration,
Central Florida’s prominent planned community, is now enjoying reliable e-mail hosting and intranet management fromSpiderhost.
Spiderhost,
a privately owned custom IT solutions, managed services, and data
center company, began hosting Celebration’s e-mail, intranet, and
website after a seamless 24-hour migration that took place on June 28th and 29th, 2009.
Each
of Celebration’s 9,000 residents and all businesses in Celebration are
given celebration.fl.us e-mail addresses, which are now securely
managed by Spiderhost.
Recent
hosting service outages had left Celebration without functioning
intranet and e-mail, so the community’s leaders explored new hosting
options. Spiderhost’s recorded
reliability and average migration time met their specifications, so after a few weeks of negotiations the project began.
Ian Phillips, Celebration’s communications manager, is pleased with Spiderhost’s service.
“We
chose Spiderhost because of the list of features they had to offer our
community,” said Phillips. “The transition was very smooth, and their
customer service was great during the move between servers.”
He added, “Spiderhost has been very easy to work with. They have
continually provided great service and support. And the residents are
very excited about the new features they had in their webmail when we
transferred to Spiderhost.”
Spiderhost
president Dale Frohman is also happy with the transition. “Celebration
has a communications department that built and manages their internal
and external websites, and we worked closely with them to get the
migration done as quickly and cleanly as possible,” Frohman said,
adding, “It went very, very well.”
