Spiderhost Develops New Website for United Arts of Central Florida

10-30-2009

Orlando, FL – Spiderhost, a private managed services, custom IT solutions, and website development company is pleased to announce the launch of United Arts of Central Florida’s new website.  United Arts is a partnership of businesses, governments, foundations, arts and cultural organizations, school districts, artists, and individuals working together to enhance the quality and variety of cultural experiences available in Florida’s Lake, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties.

In April 2009 Spiderhost president Dale Frohman learned of United Arts, liked their ethic, and wanted to get involved.  He brought them to the attention of Spiderhost’s chief creative officer Dawn Frohman, who took a look at their website and thought a website redesign was in order.

Dale checked with Juliana Steele, Vice President of Administration and CFO at United Arts, who confirmed United Arts’ interest in website redevelopment in exchange for sponsorship recognition.

Dawn began the project right away.  “The previous website required too much technical know-how to update, so updates were few and far between,” said Dawn. “They wanted a site they could easily manage, and that’s what we set about to create.”

Spiderhost implemented a content management system (CMS) so United Arts’ staff can quickly and easily make changes to the site’s content.  They also installed a new online donation platform that seamlessly connects with United Arts’ merchant account.

“We implemented the CMS and created a total site redesign with custom programming,” says Dawn.  “Now they have the updated design they want and the features they need.”

Adds Dale, “I’m really excited about this website redesign, because it’s for a Central Florida non-profit that does so much for the community.  They deserve a site that has all the functionality they want, and now they have it.”
